Last Rites Held for Anna Thompson Funeral rites were held June 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the McColley Funeral Chapel in Hot Springs for Anna J. Thompson who died June 9 at the Sister's Hospital in Hot Springs after a long illness. The Rev. Donald H. Scheuer of the Custer Community Church officiated, with graveside rites being conducted by the Eastern Star lodge. She was a member of the Community Church, the O.E.S., Rebekah and Royal Neighbor lodges. Mrs. Thompson. was born in Cherry County, Nebr., on March 15, 1883 where she spent her early life. She was married to Howard H. Thompson in 1904 at Hot Springs, S.. Dak. They had one son, Ralph who with her husband died previously. Surviving are three foster sons, Dr. Arthur Bachman, M.D., Cincinnati, Ohio, Charles Modlin, Tampa, Fla., and Frank Modlin, Harrison; one brother, John Saske, Ardmore; nine grandchildren.
