His father was James Peltier, one of the earliest pioneers of Fort Wayne, who in 1790, and for some years later, was an Indian trader at this point. Salvador was the youngest child. There were four children in all -Louis, James, Phillis and. Salvador, all dead now but the latter. Louis, the oldest, was the city's pioneer undertaker, in which business, now conducted by his son, James: C. Peltier, he was engaged for many vears. Patriarchal in Looks. The striking feature about him is his long flowing white beard, giving him patriarchal look. Both Mr. and Mrs. Peltier have. wide: circle of friends and are highly esteemed. Mr. Peltier is of that jovial, temperament that has always pleasant. made him well liked in the conduct of his business and among his acquintances. His Memory Goes Back.
