Keith's Italian Theater To Reopen Sunday One of Buffalo's oldest motion picture houses Keith's Italian Theater at 261 Main st will reopen Sunday under new management after being closed several months for renovation The theater which will be known as the New Keith has been purchased by Dewey Mi-rheel owner of the Palace and Mercury Theaters who says that it i the first in chain of popularly priced family theaters which he is starting Opened in 1907 by Rudolph Wagner as a penny arcade the theater started showing motion pictures in 1910 At that time it adopted the name "Keith” but an injunction Keith Vaudeville forced it to mii "Columbia” to the name Under later owner this was changed to “Italian” Manager Edward Purcell said today the theater w ill be open from 9:30 to 11 o'clock daily except Sundays when the doors will open at noon
