GEORGE W. RICHARDSON After an illness of several weeks, George W. Richardson died at his home in this city, at 9 o'clock, August 9, 1902; age 50 years and 4 months. The funeral was held from the residence Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by lev. J. S. Troxel assisted by Rev. C. S. Bone and the e remains were interred in Rose IIill cemetery. Deceased was afflicted with heart trouble, which was the cause of his death. He was a highly esteemed citizen, respected and loved by, all. The funeral was largely attended and every kindness possible was shown the bereaved family. Geo. W. Richardson was born in Ohio, but lived most of his life in this state. He was married to Mary Dewey, April 11, 1876, in this city where be has since resided with the exception of two years. He had been for years, connected with Dr. S. J, Dewey in the drug business and was a successtul business man. He was an excellent citizen, a kind and indulgent husband and father. His friends were many who loved to do bim a kindness. We was a congenial companion and a good neighbor. He had that excellent quality of attending to his own business. His chief enjoyment was in the happiness and comfort ofhis family, for whom he had provided a beautiful home, in which he seemed to take bis greatest pleasure. He was not yet an old man, but had passed sufficiently on life's journey to note the shadows lengthen10g towards the east, when the disastrous disease overtook him and caused him to grow weary by the way, and lying down to rest, he fell into that last long sleep from which none ever wake to weep. The many beautiful flowers laid upon his bier by loving bands were a tribute to his memory. Deceased leaves a wife, two sons and two daughters, a mother, tour sisters and a brother to mourn his death. His aged mother whois 93 years old, resides in Cameron. The following relatives from a distance attended the funeral: Messrs. and Mesdames Laribee and Wyman, of Kidder; Miss Mary Richardson, of Cameron; Chas. Baker, of Hamiltor; Mrs. J. P. Scott, of Kansas City; Chas. W. Reed and wife, of Cowgill. 1
