Raisin in the Sun' Comes to Midtown Screen By SANDRA SAUNDERS "A Raisin in the Sun," Lorraine Hansberry's prizewinning play about the struggles of a Negro family to find its place in the sun, has been transferred almost Intact to the screen. As a movie, "Raisin" 1s de- Saturday Night, Sunday Morning Opens at Lane "Saturday Night and Sunday Morning," now at the Lane, is an angry picture about an angry young man. It's also the best drama to come our way from Britain since "Room At the Top." It has the same guts, a stark serving of still more laurels.| Unveiled yesterday at the Midtown, it's a fine human drama, combining solid entertainment values with timely social commentary. THE ORIGINAL Broadway cast, headed by Sidney Poitier, is on hand for the film. Each is a standout. And Miss Hansberry's own screen adaptation retains her insight, warmth and deep feeling for humanity. The hopes and frustrations of the Younger family are universal and identifyable, regardless of color. These are every-day sort of people, seeking to find harmony within, with each other and with their environment. THEIR SALVATION is in the form of a $10,000 life insurance check. To the grand old matriarch (Claudia McNeil), her late husband's -dowment means a house sunlight and a medical education for her daughter.
