Bramalea Pacific Ltd. has negotiated a lease. with Oakland based American President in which the shipping company will be the anchor tenant and lease half of the 500,000-square-foot building. The $122 million tower will be built on a site between 11th and 12th Streets that is considered the prime parcel of land in the downtown redevelopment project. Construction of the new Ameri can President Building is expected to begin before year end with com-. pletion in 1991, bringing the total square footage in this urban business development to more than 3 million square feet," said .
