HITLER TO ACT To Lnmich Campaign Against Those Starting Atrocity Reports. Berlin, March 27. (P Joseph Goebbels, chief of propaganda, announced today that as a result of a conference with Chancellor Hitler yesterday his department will launch "sharp counter-active measures" against those responsible for reports of atrocities against German Jews. "Drastic legal porceedings will be undertaken against the atrocity, a campaign which has been unloosed in America and England by interested Jewish circles against the new German regime." Herr Goebbels said, "a blow shall be struck at the Intellectual movers and beneficiaries of these treasonable machinations, most of whom are Jews of German origin." Foreign Minister Konstaintin Von Neurath has warned the world aaginst permitting "the baneful spirit of calumny in vogue during the war to flare up again" through reports of anti-Jewish terrorism in Germany. He made the statement as Jewish organizations throughout the world called for a fast and demonstrations today against what they termed the Hitler government's persecution of their race. Capt. Herman Goerlng, a Nazi member of the Hitler cabinet said "Every German smiles" at reports of these demonstrations. Baron Von N'eurath, in a private Interview with the Association Press, said Jewish "propagandists" abroad are giving "the Impression that they actually halt at nothing, not even lies and calumny, to fight the present German government." The man who has conducted Germany's foreign affairs in three cabinets since last June classed the terrorist reports with the Belgian atrocity myths of the World war.
