Oliver Milton Newsum, 77, dies Oliver Milton Newsum, 77, died Friday evening in St. Joseph's Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born Aug. 30, 1888 in Baird, Neb. Newsum moved to Iowa at an early age where he received his schooling. He worked for the U. S. Gypsum plants in Iowa, California and Colorado before moving to Montana in 1929. Arla M. Moore became his bride Dec. 31, 1947 in Lewistown. They have lived many years at 120 East Janeaux. He worked at the U. S. Gypsum plant at Heath until his retirement. Neusum was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Blue Rapids, Kan. He is survived by his widow, Arla of Lewistown; one son, Kenneth Newsum of Lind, Wash.; one step-daughter, Dollie Rindal of Roy; a sister, Gertrude Colgan of Los Angeles Calif.; four brothers, Thamer of Los Angeles, Merlin and Leonard of Fort Dodge, Iowa and Floyd of Boone, Iowa. One son, Cecil, preceded him in death. Arrangements are pending at the Cloyd Chapel.
