| THE United States News points out that if Chancellor Hitler stands on the pan-German policy expressed in his book "Mein Kampf'"the same blood belongs to a single empire . the German Reich as a state must embrace all Germans" -he could find fertile soil in the United States. In this land are 6,800,000 Germans, and to continue we have 4,500,000 Italians, 4,300,000 British; 3,300,000 Polish; 3,300,000 Canadians; 3,100,000 Scandivians; 3,100,000 Irish; 2,600,000 Russians; 1,400,000 Mexicans; 1,300,000 Czechs; 900,000 Austrians; 680,000 Hungarians; 500,000 | French and of all other nationalities, 3,900,000. Particularly effected are the states of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota and California. Let's plebiscite! Incidentally only 250,000 of the 12,000,000 Negroes here are either foreign-born or the children of foreign-born parents. New Deal measures have hastened naturalization. Immigration "has dried up," but the United States will admit 27,000 German; 6,000 Italians and 3,000 Czechs each year. In the case of Germany, and more recently Italy, a large proportion of these immigrants are refugee Jews. Total Jewish immigrants admitted last year numbered 20,000 and 12,000 of these were from Germany.
