DREGHORN Seventeen Dreghorn children a cycling proficiensuccessfully passed ' Cy test recently, after training period. The training, and the testing, was carried out by members of the police traffic group from Ayr, helped by Carole Hodge and Gillian Mackie, of Dreghorn. At a small ceremony held in the Townend Community Centre, Superintendent Boyle, Traffic Group Commander, presented the lucky seventeen with National Cycling Proficiency Certificates. The children who gained certificates were: Derek McDowell, Philip Diffin, Stephen Arnott, Joanne Warnock, Elaine King, Dawn Shaw, John Thompson, Derek Neil, Peter Donnelly, Pamela Brown, Caron Greenwood, Hazel Bridges, Marlene Gilmour, Janie Thomson, Scott Austin, Russell Anderson, Stephen Erskine.
