Robert G. Bennett Jr. MILLSBORO Robert Garner Bennett Jr., 73, of Millsboro died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. He was born on Dec. 21, 1940, son of the late Robert G. and Gaye (Podufal) Bennett Sr. He enjoyed fishing the local waters and working around the yard. He is survived by his wife, Judy; a son, Robert Garner Bennett III and wife, Jennifer, of Chesapeake Beach, Md.; a daughter, Kristen M. Bennett and husband, Bill Berninger, of Portland, Ore.; one granddaughter, Maggie Bennett; a brother, Ronald J. Bennett and wife, Linda, of Pensacola, Fla. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Bennett. Services were held. Sarah Blake FRANKFORD Sarah "Mom" Blake, 82, of Frankford died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2014, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Beulah Pitts and Al Wilson and was born in Accomack County, Va. She was educated at Pungoteague Elementary School and Mary Ann Smith High School in Accomack, Va. She moved to Delaware in 1953, where she met and married Prophisry Blake. She was employed by NCR (National Cash Register) in Millsboro for 12 years and then Perdue Inc. in Georgetown until her retirement in 1993. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined Antioch African Methodist Church in Frank-ford. She served on the No. 2 Choir, Pastor's Aid Committee and a member of Class No. 4. She enjoyed getting ready for Frankford Camp and attending service. On Feb. 18, 2012, she was honored at the Delaware Conference Lay Banquet for her devotion, piety and Christian character. She is survived by one son, Alvin (Lavern) Garrison of Salisbury, Md.; five daughters, Sally (Lawyer) Hicks, of Frankford, Eva "Louise" Hall of Frankford, Merriel Blake of Millsboro, Geraldine Blake and fiance, Maurice Massey, of Frankford, Rebecca Blake of Frankford and her adopted daughter Shan Hall of Seaford; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
