John Ferris Pierce Services for John Ferris Pierce, 918 E. San Miguel St., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Memories Mortuary. Ernest Boone will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Denver. Mr. Pierce died Thursday in a local hospital. A resident here since 1961, he had been in the trucking business in Victor and before that had farmed in Collingworth County, Tex. He was born Feb. 21, 1907, in Quail, Tex., attended school in Wellington, Tex. and Northwest Texas College in Canon, and was married Nov. 28, 1928, in Wellington. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Melva Pierce; a son, Eugene Pierce of Pueblo; two daughters, Fern Lister of Denver and Dorothy Frauenhoff, Englewood; a sister, Jewel Donnell of Wellington; a nephew. N.E. Childers. also of Well-| ington; 11 grandchildren and lone great-grandson.
