Price Of Tickets Going Up, Up, Up NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -The going price for a ticket on the 50-yard line for today's Nebraska-Oklahoma football showdown is reported as high as $100. And it could cost up to $5,000 more than that. The Internal Revenue Service issued a warning Wednesday that inflated prices for the tickets are in violation of federal guidelines under Phase 2 of President Nixon's economic stabilization program. "In Instances of ticket scalping, both the buyer and the seller are in violation of the federal wage-price regulations," said Ed Green, director of Oklahoma City's MS office. "The penalty for each violation could run as much as $3,000." Tickets to the game through regular channels have been sold out for more than six Weeks.
