Flossie R. Jones SIX MILE - Flossie Roper Jones, 82, widow of the late James Lowell Jones, died Saturday July 10, 1993, at home. "Born in Pickens County, she was a school teacher with Pickens County Schools for 35 years and was a member of Martin Grove Wesleyan Church. Survivors include daughters, Ola J. Porter and Jimmie Lou Haynes of Six Mile, Brenda Trotter and Margaret Batson of Pickens; brother, Ernest Roper of Greer; sister, Ola V. Edens of Easley; eight grandShe children; one the great widow was of James Lowell Jones and a daughter of the late Wylie G. and Minnie Dacus Roper. Mrs. Jones was predeceased by a son, Van Roper Jones; 1 grandson; 2 great-grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; a brother, Wylie Lee Roper and a sister, Ora F. Roper. Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dillard Memorial Funeral Home chapel with burial following in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The body is at the funeral home, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. The family is at the home of a daughter, Ola Porter, 2611 Walhalla Highway, Six Mile.
