UNFURL FLAGS AND PLEAD FOR NEW GERMANY More than 600 German-Americans of the Calumet region, together with delegations from Chicago and Mil waukee, attended a concert and flag dedication ceremony sponsored bv the Friends of New Germany Satur day night American Legion hall Hammond. "We are good American citizens, first," the gathering was told by Friti Glssibl, Chicago, who Dleaded for a better understanding of the new Germany by Americans and disregard of the boycott. William Lange, leader of the Hammond unit of the organization, presided. The American flag, the flag of new Germany and that of the old empire, were dedicated at the meeting. An ovation was given the Chicago and Milwaukee delegations as they en tered the hall behind their drum and bugle corps.
