Miss Lillian Hoyt, of the Hoyt-West millinery shop, will leave Thursday for California to be gone three or four weeks, Jo Hardaway, an employe of Walton's cafe, has signed up with the musical company at the New Mr; Hadaway has a singing act. J. W. Shotwell, who -was formerly with Mr. Ringle in Iowa, has returned to Salina and will be employed at the Laderer's clothing store.

Henry Wilson, yardmaster of the Stroup Lumber company here, has removed to Stockton where he will take a like position with the company's yard at that place. Mr. and Mrs. Alferie Dandurand have returned from their wedding trip." They spent their honeymoon In Aurora, Kansas. Mr.

Dandurand is an employe of the East side grocery Phil Johnson, traveling passenger agent for the Rock Island, Geary Henderson, traveling passenger agent for the Denver Rio Grande, -were in town today. Everett Brown, second ticket at. the Union station, has accepted a position with the Santa Fe to be ticket agent at Emporia. Mr. Brown formerly was night agent at Emporia.

Dan Brill has accepted a position at Ellsworth as time keeper for the Union Paclnc Bridge builders. He will be in Ellsworth several months before going to Concordia, where they will oniM a station. Fred Livingston, of Ellsworth, is in Salina todT" hunting his 15 year old son who ran away from home a few days ago. 30, 1849. She came to the United States June .8, 1868. and to Salina in i72 Nov. 27, she was united in marriage to J. P.

Sjoblom, who now mourns her. This marriage was blessed with three sons, Albert, Thebdor and Rudolph. The Sjoblom family also have an adopted daughter, Mrs. Ililma Forsberg Burr, who lived with Mrs. Sjoblom many years.

Mrs. Sjoblom was also mourned by a sister, Mrs. Emma Nelson. of two half sisters, five grand chIL dren. other near relatives and friends.

She has been' a member the Imman-uel. Lutheran church since February 7, 1873, always taking an active part and giving liberally, of means to the needy and to her church. died Friday morning January 5. 917, at the age of 67 years. 1 month and 5 days.
