Gentlemen: My wife had a young baby which only lived a few hours. Before the birth of the child she had pneumonia, and the doctor came to see her every day for five or six days.

She seemed to get no better and complained with a pain in her right side. The pain was so excruciating that, at times, it would cause her to hollow. But this pain lasted for several days, and the doctor didn't seem to be able to relieve it. The last time I went after the doctor he told me that it was not necessary for him to come to see my wife, that he had done all in his power to relieve her; and he told one of my friends that she was bound to die. But he came, wrote some prescriptions which I had filled, gave them to her; still it didn't seem to do her any good at all, and when all my hopes had fled, Mrs.

Robert Steed came in and advised me to get a box of Mother's Joy. I went over to the Goose Grease Factory where Mother's Joy was made, and got a box of Mother's Joy and a bottle of Goose Grease Liniment. I went home and put it on as directed, rubbing her sides, chest and breast, aud it was very difficult for her to breathe, but after rubbing this Mother's Joy on thoroughly, and putting lots of it on a flannel, laying over her chest, after doing this she remarked that she was breathing lots better, and in ten or fifteen minutes she was asleep, but hadn't slept any before applying this Mother's Joy in four or five nights. This was about nine o'clock. She slept all night until about nine o'clock next morning.

Next morning she told me she felt a great deal better, and was breathing normal. Of course she was very weak, but today she is entirely out of danger and on the road to recovery, and we all believe that if it had not been for Mother's Joy she would have died. Subscribed and sworn to me this 26th day of January, 1910. (Seal) W. P.
