"Sue Ann." (Repeat) Interesting if unlikely tale about a 20-year-old farm girl who dreams about the glamorous life of the city and determines to make it real. Patty Duke stars as Sue Ann, and the repercussions of her stagecoach journey to Medicine Bow on her way to fantasy land in San Francisco will probably hold your attention. p. m. Batman.

"Green Ice." (Repeatl Thanks to movie producer Otto Preminger's role as Mr. Freeze, that amorous icy villain, this silly episode is worth a look. Preminger's makeup alone is half the show, and his acting adds another digit or two. The plot has Mr. Freeze kidnaping a bathing beauty called Miss Iceland.

p. m. CD i (TJ Green Acres. (Repeatl Generally amusing matchmaking story. Eva Gabor tries to kindle a romance between the lady carpenter with a man's rame, and the befuddled country agent who can't make this out.

To keep the story from dragging, trouble also brews between Eddie Albert and the phone company. p. m. CD -Gomer Pyle. (Repeat) Farfetched, but amusing just the same.

When Corner Plye helps Sgt. Carter run a recruiting station in Hollywood lies so earnest and truthful in talking to the recruils he's completely unsuccessful. His luck changes, however, when he lands a potential candidate who turns out to be a bank robber. p. m.

rjTJ i -I Spy. "Child of Our Time." (Repeat) Good episode. Ex-Nazis, Israeli agents and our heroes are all after a list that contains names of war criminals who hase hitherto escaped justice. The list as old movie fans will instantly spot is hidden in la "The Thirty Nine Steps," but it makes for an absorbing hour. Nina Foch guest stars as the lady who owns the list, while Eileen Baral is handed the pivotal role of the child with the amazing memory.

David Chen, who performed the name duties on the original series, will be the television director for Channel 13. Rogers will once again serve as his own producer, while Paul K.

Taff, director of children's programming for NET, is to be executive director. ROGERS, NOW 39. has a sot-Id claim to his unofficial title, "The Pied Piper of Educational Television." A music department graduate of Rollins College, he is also an ordained minister, a director of children's ministry in the United Presbyterian Church, a consultant to the child study center of the University of Pittsburgh, and a visiting lecturer in children's work at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Fred began his TV career In production at NBC in connection with such shows as "The NBC Opera Hour," "Voice of Firestone," "Hit Parade," and the "Kate Smith Afternoon Hour." Tn 1954 he returned to this city to begin his long association with Channel 13 and ETV. ROGER'S FIRST program, on which he shared the starring honors with singer-performer Josie Carey, was "Children's Corner." The pioneer series was an immediate success with Channel 13 viewers and stayed on the air until 1961.

During this period and later Fred also produced young people's programming for the Canadian Broadcasting Company. "Children's Corner," which featured Miss Carey standing before a puppet stage conducting talk and vocal sessions with puppets manipulated by Rogers, was also shown for a time on NBC and NET. It won a Sylvania Award for the best local children's program in the United States. In accepting the grant John F. White, president of NET (and former general manager of WQED) noled that.

"Nothing we do at NET is more important than children's programming. Good programming for young children is extremely difficult to produce because it is nflnn in nivi fhrm something they like, but which mav be bad for them." may be bad (or them. Channel 13 has color equipment on order and expects to start colorcast-ing sometime during the hitler part of the 1967-68 season. MORE BRIEFLY: CBS has announced plans to retelecast the highly acclaimed "The Anderson Platoon," which was first shown on July 4 (Channel 2 here). The repeat is scheduled for July 25, from 10 to 11 p. preempting "The Homosexuals," the CBS Reports documentary originally to have been shown at tlu's time.

"The Anderson Platoon" tells the story of a single platoon, under (he command of Negro West Pointer (now Captain) Joseph B. Anderson. It was filmed by Pierre Scho-endoerffer and his French crew for showing on television in his native country. Schoeii-dnerffer, who stayed with the combat unit for six weeks-most of (he time under fire has recorded a completely non political documentary, which captures (he spirit nnd character of the American fighting man ns never before reported on film from the Vietnam War. One of the members of the platoon, Sgt.

Williams Owen, now a career soldier stationed in Washington, D. has said, after seeing the July 4 telecast: couldn't believe it. lie (Schocndoerffer) caught it just the way it was. I saw myself wounded. Oh, man! I didn't know the camera was on me then." Captain Anderson Is now assigned to Ft.

Dix, N. J. It can only be hoped that, after reading the reviews of the original telecast, that CBS will see fit to either eliminate the commercials or find a way to insert them at the beginning and the end. They were extremely jarring in the first presentation. DISTRICT ATTORNEY Jim Garrison of New Orleans will 8ppear on the NBC network (Channel 11 here) on July 15, from 8 to 8:30 p.
