Rev. Clyde Black, pastor, read the ceremony in the presence of Mr. and Noble Miller, ot Anderson.

The bride is the daughter of Mr." and Mrs. O. E. Gilbert, of Pleasant Grove, and was employed at the local beauty shoppe for four years. Mr.

Hartley is the son of Mrs. Charles Poore, of Anderson. He is engaged in the electrical business. Mr. and Mrs.

Hartley are at home at 1425 Ohio avenue, in Anderson. Attend District V. F. W. Meeting In Anderson Mrs.

Jessie Todd. Mrs. Rilla Love, and Mrs. Ethel Goodwin attended a district meeting of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary which wns held at the court houe in Anderson Sunday. Mrs.

Todd, who has served as district president for the past two years, presided during the business session. Mr. Peegy Zadhry, of Anderson, was elected the new president. Much Interest Manifest In Revival At Church The revival being conducted at the Church of the Nazarene is piogressing with amazing interest being displayed, Rev. R.

E. Elzey, pasior of the church, reported today. The house is filled during nearly every service and on a number 'of nights extra chairs have been used to seat the large crowds. Yesterday 236 people attended the Sunday school services and the church records showed a cap- acity congregation last evening. A. To Install New Athletic Club Hire An athletic club wil be organized sometime this week by the Works Progress Administration recreation department it was an- nounced today by! W.FA. offi cials. Glenn Fisher and Omtr Alvey of the local recreation departmehr" will be in charge of the program. Punching bags, exercisors, and other equipment have been in stalled while other equipment will be added In the near future.

The club will be open to all boys of the city who have a written permit from the parents to take part in club acttvilies. Mary Stlne, Society Editor Grimme-Houser Wedding Is Announced Today Mr. and Mrs. Harry Orimme, residing northeast of the city, announce the marriage of their daughter, Eileen, to Raymond Houser, grandson of Mrs. Mary E.

Houser. residing at 1801 South street The ceremony was sokmnized at high noon Saturday at the Calvary Lutheran Churh in Louisville, Ky the pastor. Rev. A. C.

Robertson, officiating at the single ring ceremony. Rev. Mr. Robertson, former pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church in ttys city, married the bride's parents twenty-three years ago.

Mrs. A. C. Robertson and son. Jack, were tie only atttendants.

The bride wore a gown of white trimmed in blue, and carried a bouquet of Briarcliff rot.es. Mrs. Houser is popularly known in this city. She was graduated from the El wood High School 'witr the class of '35 and is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Mr. Houser was graduated from the Elwood High School with the class of '30. Both Mr. id Mrs. Houser are employed by the J.

Following a wedding trip in the South, where they will attend the Mardi Gras in New Orleans, the couple will reside at 135 North Tenth street Boyer-Lehr Wedding Solemnized Saturday The marriage of Miss Louise Boyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Boyer, residing at 853 North Sixteenth street, and Joel Lehr, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Joel Lehr, residing south of the city, was solemnized at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at the parsonage of the First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Ernest J. Yorger, pastor, read the ceremony. Miss Bonnie Boyer, sister of the bride, and Richard Ritter, were the attendants, and Mjss Anna Hancock was the ring bearer.

The bride's parents and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stout and daughter, were present for the ceremony also. The bride wore a blue dres with gray accessories, and a corsage of roses. Mrs.

Lehr was graduated from the Elwood High School with the class of '39. Mr. Lehr attended the local high school and is now employed by the Carnegie-Illinois Steel Corporation in Gary, where they will reside. Shiloh Ladies Aid Is Entertained The Ladies Aid Societv of the Shiloh Friends' Church met with Mrs. Ellen Hook, northeast of the ctty, for an all-day session.

The president, Mrs. Alfa Williams, was in charge of the business session which opened with the hymn, "All Hail the Power." Mrs. Lelah Harting offered pray er, and the scripture reading was given by Mrs. Williams. A comforter top was pieced during the social hour.

Those present were: Mrs. Esther Wisler, Mrs. Alfa Williams, Mrs. Josia Hoover, Mrs. Christine Thomas, Mrs.

Lelah Harting, Mrs. Nola Hobbs, Mrs. Delia Lewis, and Mrs. Hook. The next meeting will be held March 7 with Mrs.

Hobbs, north-cast of the city. King's Daughters Groups Will Meet This Week Two committees of the King's Daughters Class of the East Main Street Church will hold meetings tlhls week. Members of the decorating committee for the March banquet will meet at 7 o'clock Tuesday evening in the parlors, and members of the executive committee will meet at 7 o'clock Thursday evening in the dhureh parlors. It is urged that members of these committees attend their respective meetings. Edgewood P.

T. A. Sponsors Supper The Parent-Teacher Association of the Fdgewood School sponsored a chili supper Friday evening at the school and a large crowd attended. Music wps furnished during the evening by the WPA orchestra. Officers of the association today expressed their appreciation to all who aided in making the affair a success.

Red Corner Economics Will Meet March 1 The regular monthly meeting of the Fed Corner Home Economics Club will be held at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon.
