Balloonist "Bunt fails in Sahara Associated Press AAIUN, Spanish Sahara A border to border area search of the Spanish Sahara turned up no trace of missing American balloonist Thomas Gatch on n. day. Army authoriites indicated they may abandon the hunt after two days of searching. The army said it would decide Monday if it will continue the hunt for the 48 year old bachelor. The pressurized gondola that took him over the Atlantic was 'last reported nearing the ftest African coast Friday.

Gatch dropped out of Wednesday, days leaving Harrisburg, to try to become the -first person to cross the Atlantic in a balloon. U.S. weather experts e- dicted his last known course would put him into the Spanish Sahara, or perhaps south of Morocco. But after two days of searching the 300 mile Moroccan Spanish Sahara border the army reported no word of Gatch. "If he were in Spanish territory I feel certain some- would have reported him," said Capt.

Jose Cea de Garcia. There were no reports, however, of sighting by nomad groups living in the desert. Gatch were down in the Sahara, weather conditions would not be a problem at the present time. Temperatures at night are in the high 40s and daytime highs in the 80s. 32 OUNCE SIZE Revco's Low, Everyday Discount Price U9 usmtgc Revco's Low, Everyday Discount Price 89 USTEREpt sss jSmimim.
