This grant is provided for by- the federal govern ment and comes under the Na ttonal Defense Act. Schools applying throughout the state were rated on their proposed program for the coming school year and Kimball received the honor of having one of the 10 most workable programs.

Sponsored by the hospital auxiliary, the proceeds from the benefit will be used to purchase needed hospital equipment. Also on sale will be home-made baked goods, everything good to eat. Lunch will be served, also.

The lesson was in charge of Rodpey Holllngsworth and Larry Kunze. Lutheran League Meets Mrs. Fred Kopfmann gave a reading at the meeting of the Earlville Lutheran League evening of March 27. The meeting was held at the church with Jerry Pederson presiding. Lloyd Arhart conducted devotions.

Carol Arhart played a piano solo. The Rev. Jacob Askeland gave the Lenten message. MYF Meets A film'strip on "Symbols In Christianity" was shown at the meeting of the Senior MYF the afternoon of March 27. The lesson was in, charge of the Rev.
