THREa Meeting Of Committeemeii All-Day Conference Of AAA Leaders Held In preparation for a series of community meetings scheduled the next two weeks throughout Frederick 'County, about ninety Community Committeemen met here Thursday in an all-day conference with local and State AAA leaders to discuss the farm program for this year. Leonard C. Burns, State Committeeman; Hamilton Linthicum, State field representative, and County Agent Henry R. Shoemaker outlined prospects and problems confronting farmers.

To Estimate Goals In urging committeemen to enlist all farmers as participants in the 1944 AAA program, it was pointed out that all who participate will be eligible for payments for carrying out approved farm practices or materials may be obtained in lieu of cash payments. At the scheduled meetings, committeemen will ask farmers to estimate goals for 1944 production of crops, poultry and livestock. Effort is being made to estimate as accurately as possible what production can be expected in Frederick County this year. Farmers are urged to attend the meeting for the district in which they reside. The schedule was announced as follows: March 13-Buckeystown, Adamstown School; Lewistown-Creagerstown, Lewistown Hall.

March 14-Emmitsburg, Firemen's Hall; Thurmont-Hauvers, Thurmont Co-Operative. March 15-Middletown, Burkittsville, Jackson and Catoctin, Memorial Hall, Middletown March 16-Walkersville, Woodsboro, Mt. Pleasant, Walkersville High School. March 17-New Market, Woodville, New Market Grange Hall. March 18-Jefferson, Petersville, Jefferson school.

March 21-Liberty, Linganore, Johnsville, old school building, Libertytown. March 22-Urbana, Urbana school. March 23-Frederick and Tuscarora, AAA offices here. March 24-Ballenger and Braddock, AAA offices All of the meetings will be from 10 a. m.
