I was assigned to the Terre Haute Army Reserve unit, as an advisor, and have now been here for a period of about two years. I like it here very much.

Reserve Advantages. I may, I would like to point out some of the advantages of enlisting in the Army Reserve program. Young men between the ages of 17 to may enlist in our program. It consists of six months active duty, after which the man serves out his obligated time in the reserves. This is completed by attending a two-hour period, once a week, and for this, the man is paid for one service, at pay at the he then holds.

Army Reserve program is open all interested young men. and outstanding among its many features is the fact that young men who take up the opportunity have the privilege to complete their high school work, and even then to continue their college education, without worries of being drafted into the armed forces. The annual fall rally of the Danville-Champaign zone of the Central Illinois District of the Lutheran Missionary League was held at the Grace Lutheran Church of Paris.

In charge of arrangements for the rally, which was attended by 180 members and guests and six pastors, was Mrs. Herbert Shune- son. Mrs. H. E.

Berger of Danville, the zone president, presided for the sessions and Mrs. Spencer Werner, president of the local society, gave the welcoming address. Mrs. Norman Katt aided Mrs. Shuneson in the arrangements.

(Special) Paris men. Gordon Colson and Lloyd Thompson, are con- fering on personnel problems and procedures at a Bermuda Island conference winch will be concluded next week. Mr. Colson is the president of the U. O.
