Members to Sign Tomorrow ministers will ask church members to sign up to have servicemen as guests at dinner the 21st. All next week the daily reports at the Navy and air Force 'bases near Oxnard will invite servicemen to sign up as dinner guests. On the 21st the men who are interested will attend services at churches of their choice, where they will be honored. There they will meet their hosts for the day. Pal Day, according to an article to be published tomorrow in This Week, began in Belleville, 111., four years ago after the town was criticized in This Week as one of the worst in the country for hostility to servicemen.

This year 500 towns will participate. Paul's Methodist Church at a meeting open to the community. Mr. Stockwell, 'a missionary, was held a prisoner of the Chinese communists for 23 months, part of the time in solitary confinement on charges of espionage. He will tell his experiences both as a missionary and as a prisoner and described life among the Communists. He was at Chengtu, west China, when the Communists overran that city.

He elected to remain attempt to carry on his work. Some months later, he was arrested, and after a Communist trial when he had no to defend himself, was sentenced to prison. HUnter 3-7334 The congregation of the Uni ted Pentecostal Church of Oxnard will meet together for worship services tomorrow for the last time most of the group will transfer to Santa Paul; where m.b will start another "Most of our members arc from Santa Paula," the Rev James Holloway, pastor of the said today, "so we decided to establish a church them" 'The congregation, to be cnown as the United Pentecos- al Church of Santa Paula, will meet in a rented building at 134 Davis street. First services vere held at the Eagles Hall on Oct. 28, 1953, with four adult members present. Last March 7 he group began holding ser- 'ices at the Masonic Temple at Fifth and streets. The church is affiliated" with he United Pentecostal Church, with the main-'officcs in St. Louis, Mo.

Today's membership numbers 16 adults. Sunday School Growth Sunday school classes were first held a year ago with seven students. Since tlien the classes have grown to an average of 35 with a record of 5-1 students once attained. For the large percentage of increase during that period the church was given an award for the Los Angeles section at a recent United Pentecostal Sunday school rally. Because of a small membership, the church has thus far )een unable to organize many activities.

The only one consists of a Women's Auxiliary whose main purpose is to support foreign missionaries. Recently the group has devoted most of its projects for the church building fund. The church board is composed of Mr. Holloway. Edward and L.
