Every township in the Slate ned not do so well as Munson, to insure a contribu.ion of 100,000 from Ohio alone: Editor Democrat: A. few of the cit-Icens of Munson, having met on Thurs- day, November 29.1i, in accordance with the Proclamation of the Governor for Public Thanksgiving-, thought it would bo a great good lost, both to Kansas and to the Town, to enjoy the happiness of contributing to relieve the suffering in Kansas mlusively themselves; appointed a com-jiiittee of three to canvass the Town, au-laoriling (0 call other! their rid, co Kk to give every one an Opportunity to exercise their benevolence, and report on the Thursday evening following.

At the time appointed, a good number of the cit-Itens were present fiom all parts of the Town, showing a commendable interest nd a good degree of benevolence. The School children, taking the lead, reported from District No. 1, No. 4, No. 5, No.

7, t.0S; the other schools not having commenced, children nd parents reported indiscriminately, till the sum increased to 946,00. The committee were then instructed to forward this, with what else they might obtain, by draft, to Gen. 8. C. Pomeroy.

as the con tribution of Munson to the Kansas Relief Fund. By continued effort the sum has been Increased to 58,58. Much more miirlit have been obtained, if we had means of finding the hearts of many in taty circum ttanctt. Much that was obtained was not without sacrifice, and wo trust that it may prove acceptable and successful in its mission of good, and in the hands Him who doe 111 all things well, the fni crant incense of the cift may return in gentle dews to reward the hands and bless the hearts of the givers. Sooner or later something must cd wrong, and tlis great machinery of life is uisordercd or overthrown. Barsaparilla has, and deserves much, the reputation of accomplishing these cndi.

Hut the world has bsen egrtgiously deceived by preparations of it, partly because the drug alone has not all the virtus that is claimed for it, but more b'catiie many preparations, pretending to he concentrated extracts of it, contain but little of tlie virtue of Sarsaparilla, or any thing else. During lata yenre the rntMio have been mis led by largo bottles, pretending to give a quart of Extract of Sarsaparilla for one dollar. Most! of these hnvo been frauds upon tlie sick, for they not only contain little, if any, Sarsaparilla, hut often no curntivo properties whatever, lli ncc, bitter and painful disappointment has followed the use of the various extracts of harsnnttrilla which flood the market, until the name itself is justly dcspLwd, nnd hai become synonymous with imposition nnd cheat. Normber 1100 COitf MEDICAL. HOSTETTER' STOMACHJITTERS. Ths proprietors and msntifaelnrersnf noflj TKTTKR'st CELhiniATED STOMACH U1T TKU9 can appeal Willi perfect confidence 10 physicians and ciiisens generally of the linileil mates, because ths article liss attained a reputation heretofore unknown, A few facts apoa this point will speak mof fowerfnlly ihsa volumes of bare assertion or blnsoning puffery, Ihe consumption of Iloslcttor's Blomach Hitlers for the last year amounted lo over a half million bottles, and from il manifest steaujr Increase In times past, It is evident that rfliring the coming year lbs tonsnmption will resell near one million hollies. This immense amount could never have been Sold but for ths rara medicinal properties contained In the preparation, nnd the sanction cf the most prominent physicians in those sections of th enunlry" where Die article Is best known, whe-jxil enVy recommend the Kilters lo their patients, but are ready st nil times to give testimonials to Its ediesey in nil cases of ftotnachio dersiigemeuls and the diseases resulting therefrom. This Is not a temporary popularity, oblnlnad by extraordinary efforts In Ihe wny of trumpeting the qualities of the flitters, but a solid estimation of nn invaluable medicine, which ia destined to be ns enduring as lime ilself.

Hosteller's Blomach bitters have proved a Godsend to regions where fever and ague and various other bilious complaints have counted their victims by hundreds. To ba able to slate confidently that the "Hitlers" are a certain enre for tho Dyspepsia and Ilka diseases, is lo the proprietors a source of unalloyed pleasure. It removes all morbid mailer from the stomach, purifies the blood, ami Imparts renewed vitaliiy lo Ihe nervous system, giving It that loon nnd energy indispensable for Ihe restoration of health. It operates upon the stomach, liver, and other digestive organs, mildly but powerfully, and soon restores them loiicondilioii essential to Ihe bsallby dischargf of Ihe fuuctlons of naturs. L'ldcrly persons may use (IieBillcrs daily at per directions on the bottle, nnd Ihey will find In It a stimulant peculiarly adapted lo comfort declining years, as it is pleasant to ths palate.

Invigorating to the bowels, excellent as a lonis, and rejuvenating generally. We have the evidence of thousnuds of aged men and women who have experienced the benefit of using this preparation while suffering from stomach damn gcmenls and general debility acting under the advice of physicians, they have abandoned nil deleterious drugs and fairly tested tht merits of this article. A few words to th gentler sex. There are certain periods when their cares are so harassing that many of Ihcro sink under Ihe trial. The relation of mother ruid child is so absorbingly lender, that Ilia mother, especially if she be young, is apt to forget ber own heallh in her extreme anxietw for her iufant.

Should the period of maternity arrive during Ihe summer season, the wear of body nnd mind is generally aggravated. Her. then, is a necessity for a stimulant to recuperate the energies of the system, and enable tha mother to bear up under her exhausting trials and responsibilities. Nursing mothers generally prefer the Bitters to all other invigora-tors that receive the endorsement of physicians, because it ia agreeable to the taste at well as certain to give a permanent increase of bodily elrengtll. All Ihose persons, to whom we have partial-larly referred above, lo wit: sufferers from fever and ague, eaused by malaria, diarrhoea, dysentery, indigestion, loss of appetite, and all discuses or dsrangements of the stomach, superannuated invalids, persons of sedentary occupation, and nursing mothers, will consult their own physical welfare by giving to Hos tetter's Celebrated Stomach Bitters atrial CAUTION.

We caution tire public against rising any of tlie many imitations or counterfeits, but ask for Hostettsb's CiLsnasTso Stoxacu Birrsss, and see that each bottle hat the words Dr. J. Uostetter's Blomach Bitters" blown on the aide of Die bottle, and stamped on the metallic cap covering the cork, and observe that our autograph signature is on tha labeb T- Prepared and aold by HOSTETTEH tt BMITH, Pittsburgh, and sold by all -druggists, grocers, and dealers generally throughout the United States, Boutn Asiatics, an Germany.
