I- fesuftsiVfrayrr ttflfcji HORSE SHOW DAY. Yesterday was a grand day rind tbo horses for miles around were hero on exhibition. Tbe show lasted for a couple of hours and tho lovers of fine stock enjoyed it supremely. Helmont Chief S0S9, owned by J. P.

Crow, made splendid show. He is a fine mover and with bis fino breeding, was much admired. Mr. Crow did not bring his excellently bred private stallion, Sumac. Mercer county was represented by D.

M. it A. S. Bowman's tine Belloview Wilkes 13994. lie is one of the fastast sons of the great Red Wilkes 1749 and at 3 years made a record of Charles Dunn's Breeze likes was much admired and won additional interest in the Petoskey tribe.

Adonis, the young Second Jewell stallion, property of Mr. F. F. Sandidge, is a fineBaddler aud Mr. Sandidge secured several by showing him.

J. Steele Carpenter had his fine saddlers, Wallace Denmark and Lexel, and was the recipient of a liberal share of tho compliments of the day. Charley Spoonamore's Kd Barlow was the subject of much favorable comment and many wondered why the owner stood him at such low figure. A. M.

Pence's Rienzi stallion, Pence, was in fine trim aud handled himself to the satisfaction of his host of admirers. His King Buckden Baddler was also greatly admired. Hon. G. A.

Lackey's Silver King stud, Lord Clifton, was much complimented nnd his fine saddle qualities will not be forgotten by the breeders of this section. This fino horse has made 8 showings in fair rings and has to his credit 7 premiums and one certificate. The Beazley Bros, phowed their handsome young stulllon, Siver Tip. He is a handsome bay and kuows how to handle handle liiuir elf as well as the best of them. Capt.

T. A. Elkin showed a couple of fine ones. His Arthur Sims and Wyandotte are as handsomely bred a pair as most anybody can show and did themselves credit by their trotting proclivities. E.

F. Fatilconer had Quinine a brother of Geneva and was the recipient of many compliments. He promises to equal Ins speedy sire. R. Gentry Son, of Boyle, showed Gambetta 1172, sire of Cleo, and a privatu stallion that they have not yet named.

T. B. Walker, of Lancaster, had Mc-Creary, Orange Wilkes and Denmark and received a full quota of kindly mentions. Gilt Edge, property of Madison Son, was much admired. He is a beautiful sorrel and moves with much ease and grace.

Chancy Denmark was shown by Luther Underwood and was tho subject of much favorable comment. J. K. Baughman had on exhibition Naboth and Star Denmark. Tho former is a speedy 3 year-old and the latter is a saddler of much reputation.

George Dictator 3SG2, the property of M. S. Baushman, was in fine trim and showed himself to be a fine mover. He is by Dictator 113, sire of Jay-Eye-See, Phallas, Director and 20 others in the 2:30 list. The thoroughbred Waukesha, property of Samuel Reid, attracted much attention.

Screamer, owned by James Pep-pies, proved himself a fine saddler. K. P. Woods Eagle Bird is a "dandy" sure enough. He is of the old Star Eagle Btock and of course a fine saddle tiorse.

The string of Messrs. S. H. J. Baughman, including Minstrel, Little Denmark, received a liberal portion of favorable comment.

Etibanks Bros, exhibited Messenger, a full brother to Maud Messenger, 2:10, etc. F. Reid's Dorsey GolddtiBt, a full brother to Estelle, and a near relative of Maud S. and Johnston, was one of the favorites of the day. Erricsson, E.

S. Powell proprietor, made nn excellent allowing. One of his 2-year-olds, Sullivan, was also greatly admired. Capt. B.

F. Powell showed Solid Shot, a handsome 3-year-old. A. W. Carpenter's King Curtis 0031 showed himself to be a fine stepper and won much praise.

There were a number of fine jacks exhibited and they kept the air resonant with their peculiar music. Having removed my Barber Shop to the Com mercial Hotel, I am prbpared to accommodate ladles as well as gentlemen in anything they may wish lu my line. Children also waited on. Call "ante.
