and Mrs. Iver Allen were out on a visit to Mrs. Nelson, on section 14, last Sunday. E. A.

Erickson, of Comstock, was out seeding flax on section 27 last Tuesday. There was a party of young men from Warren out to Viking last Sunday. They had a beer-keg with them, which they emptied. We prefer that the young men empty their beer-kegs in Warren instead of com ing out to our community. Carl Allen was seen out here last Sunday.

Mr. Lundberg was out here selling nursery plants this week. Lars Larson is hauling hay now adays with his young span of mules. It is heard that John Branson was injured by one of his colts. John Westman has bought 160 acres of land in section 29, adjoining his brother's.

Mrs. Lars Johnson arrived home from the Warren hospital Saturday. Where is our old correspondent A. B. whom we have not heard from for along time? Wake up! get your pen and paper and write a few lines.

Notic to Contractors. Sealed bids on building a bridge across the Snake River in town of McCrea, Marshall will be received by the Clerk of said town until the 1st day of June next. in which it is alleged that the said Swan Swanson has wholly abandoned said tract, and changed his residence therefrom for more than six months since making said entry, and immediately prior to the date hereof, and that for more than two years last past said Swan Swanson has not resided upon or cultivated said land or any part thereof, and that said alleged absence from the.said land was not due to his employment in the army, navy, or marine corps of the United States as a private soldier, officer, seaman or marine during the war with Spain or during any other war in which the United States may be engaged: said parties are hereby notified to appear, respond and offer evidence touching said allegation at 10 o'clock a. m. on July 6,1900, before Clerk of District Court of Marshall county, at Warren.
