Kanipe, a recent bride and member of the class, a surprise shower Tuesday night, Oct. 21. She received many useful gifts. Music and readings were enjoyed during the evening. Fruits were served.

Holds Meeting. HENRIETTA, Oct. 28. On last Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. W.

S. Moore, the Woman's Missionary Society, of the Baptist church held their regular meeting. The meeting was opened by a prayer by Mrs. W. T.

Tate, followed by a bible reading by Mrs. P. Camp-field. The program for the afternoon was a study of the present conditions of Japan, different topics being ably discussed by Misses O'Lema Flack, Minnie Lee Fagan and Blanche Burke, who also rendered special music which was greatly enjoyed by all. After the program was carried out and the regular business transacted, a social hour was enjoyed.

Weese, served hot chocolate and sandwiches. About twelve members were present for the meeting. A Special Picture. A special picture, "After Six Days" shown at the Henrietta Theatre Saturday evening, in behalf of the Parent Teacher's Association, was a great success and enjoyed by all who saw it.
