17 Washington's Birthday, Feb. 17, a Monday, will be an academic holiday as well as a staff legal holiday at Sacred Heart university, it was announced today by Robert Kidera, president. He said the SHU academic calendar scheduled classes on that date, but according to the Staff manual, Washington's birthday is a recognized legal holiday and all employes get a paid holiday. Mr. Kidera's announcement resolved the conflict.
