Last year the a i featured former All-America Bob Brinkworth (now playing pro with. Tort Huron) along with other RPI standouts Jimmy Josephson and Bill Grisdale. But the most-of the offensive punch was provided by former RPI Coach Garry Kcarns, who did not decide to play in the game until that very night. Kearns, a two-lime All-America and the nation's leading scorer as a -sophomore, scored two goals, and narrowly missed two.others, despite being on the ice only three limes ajl night. Kearns, who a skated at all this year, said he probably wouldn't know unlil Saturday whether he would play.

In any case, he couldn't possibly top last year's act. Heading the list of returning grads is big Brian Tryce, who was a key figure in last year's victory. The former Engineer co-captain led HPI lo a fourth place finish in the 1962-63 NCAA championships and Ihcn went on to play pro hockey. He now lives in Lome Park, Ont. The alumni will also be counting heavily on former star Barry Law, who was the Engineers leading scorer during his scii- ior year in 1959.

Law will have several of classmates returning, including goalie Tom Nicol and defcnseraen Colin Inghajp and Brian Dickey. Nicol put on a tremendous performance in last year's game as lie slopped 47 "shots despite having only three days practice. The 1970 class will have its leading goal scorer Lynn Taylor along with speedy Ron Mo- rcau and center Ross McKer- sle. Taylor and McKersie are both working in this area while Moreau resides in Patterson, N. J.

The Alumni will also be bolstered by the return of defense- man Al Jones who lias been playing in Canada. Also back are Tom McMahon, Bruce Tisdall, Al Dahlberg, Troy's brolher act of John and Chuck Rancourt, Greg Crozier and Larry McMullen. The only member of the 1964 NCAA championship team returning is winger Fran Paradise. Other returning grads include goalie Bill Sack, Bill Dunn, Dave Liltleficld, Pete Zoretich, Tom Bellally, Paul Krosney, Van Thompson, Bill Van Leuvan and Bob Strachan. The team will be coached by HP I trainer Tom Shcchan, as-, sistcd by the present Engineer frosh coach Mo Eustace.

Don Birkmayer Is the alumni coordinator. The varsity, which plays at Williams college in an exhibition: game tonight, has already defeated the University; of Otia- wa and Sir George.
