German' Service Recalls Church Roots Spiritual Life Parle Planned Night of Music Set in Marietta Council of Churches Sets Fall Assembly 9th Missionary Parley Opens Saturday Night The fall assembly of the Lancaster County Council of Churches will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Peters Lutheran Church Lititz Pike A Night of Music will be held at Zion United Church of Christ, 3 S. Waterford Marietta, Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Featured will be Beth and Jim Fiy, Columbia; Doris Zile, York, and Violet Shanabrook, organist, of Columbia. Singers Robert and John Hei-stand, Maytown, will be accompanied an Delp Road, Neffsville. el Delegates are invited The 38th annual Womens Spiritual Life Conference of Calvary Independent Church, Pleasure and Esben-shade Roads, will be held thursday, Oct. 29, on the theme, Spirit controlled Woman. Guest speaker will be Mae Stewart of Langhorne.

Richard Druckenbrod will conduct a Pennsylvania German service at Peace United Church of Christ, Denver R3, Sunday at 3 p.m. The service is being held in conjunction with the 250th anniversary of the founding of the former Muddy Creek Reformed Church. The service will include special music by a Pennsylvania German chorus, accompanied by Virginia Tobias and directed by Ed Weber. Muddy Creek is one of the roots to which Peace church traces its beginning, and the earliest services there were conducted in the Pennsylvania German dialect. Druckenbrod graduated from the former Denver High School, Franklin and Marshall College, and Lancaster Theological Seminary.

He attended Dropsie University and the University of Pennsylvania.
