Hentley vs. School; FEDERAL COURT NOTES After a hearing on a writ of habeas corpus in the United States District Court, yesterday, Judge McPherson discharged from custody Louis Duranouo, chief engineer and second officer of the Spanish steamship Ballestores, who had been arrested on churgts of disobedience aud insubordination preferred by the captain of the vessel, Mareelinu Eu.ul!bnrn.

Duranono's commitment charged Lira with being a disturbing element aboard the vessel aud with disobedience of his captain's orders, and he was arrested under the treaty of 181S) between this country and Spain. But the court held that this treaty applied only to deserters and therefore Duranouo had been arrested improperly. In a writ of certiorari Issued by the Circuit Court of the United states of (bis county to the Common Pleas Court, No. 4, to remove a suit against the Collector of Internal Revenue, the certiorari tested in the name of Morrison R. who died In the Philippine Islands December 11.

The Company owns five claims from which it will get all the ore. It is guaranteed a half interest iu fifteen other mines which it will cut, drain and open. We have but 400 feet to run before cutting the first vein, equal to the great Highlander vein; this will take but three months and from this vein aloue a dividend of ti per cent, on the capital will be earned. In Ihree months more two other veins of equal value will be cut, and the earnings correspondingly increased. It will thus be seen that these throe veins within six months will be earning 18 per cent, on the capital stock, or 3G per cent, on the amount invested, at the present price of 50c, and in 18 months, when the full mile shall have been run, the earnings will average not less than 100 per cent, on the par value, nor is this at all singular.

The ore bodies of the Ainsworth Camp are practically inexhaustible and it is maintained that they will be as long lived as the mines in Spain, such as tlie Tiuto" and the great "Inca" workings in Peru and the Argentine.
