Laraine Day, aged 21, motion picture actress, today announced her engagement to Ray Hendricks, 29, army aviator, and said they will be married in Hollywood May 16. Hendricks is anj instructor at Falcon Field, Ariz.J and before he entered the service was a singer with dance -orchestras.

He and Miss Day first met two years ago when she was producing an amateur play and selected him as leading man. Miss Day comes from Roosevelt. Utah, and is under contract at the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studio. School picnics, lodge and church outings and factory and industrial events also will be features of the park this summer.
