Hots, Hamburg' Village 1, Custom Carpet and Hamburg Village 12 are bidding for -the League lead in the Town of. Hamburg Recreation Department's' Senior Girls Softball Ell's Texas Hota-22 Lakeview Community Ass'n-7 Shelly Newman with 4 hits and Jean Leavell with 3 hits led the way in Eli's victory. Colleen Lach and Debbie Shelvay played well for the winners. Jane Ericson with a homerun and Pauline Ratchuk with fine defensive play led the losers.

Custom Carpet-30 Armor Fire -Bobbie Wirth had a homerun Dawn Hansen had a triple and the double play combination of Tammy Nelson to Patty Herkey led Custom Carpet to its stunning victory. Mr. Copy-24 Hopevale-U Hopevale had an early lead but couldn't1 hold on as Mr. Copy won its first game. Kelly Colern led the -hitting for Mr. Copy by going 4 for 5 at the plate.

All trophy winners are given their awards by the school's principal. Father Xavier Nawrocki at the end of camp during a special ceremony. In additioin, to all trophies, each member of the team in each league that wins the Olympics event will also receive an award. The Olympics is a series of contests stressing special skill taught during the week atcamp. Each camper also receives a special certificate of attendance.

A very special award is given at end of each camp. The "Christopher Patton Memorial Trophy" is given annually to the camper who has displayed unselfish characteristics of team play' as well as an individual has demonstrated sportsmanship qualities throughout the entire week of V-' The camp now in its seventh year is rapidly becoming one of the better camps for assuring every young man a very educating and inspirational week of basketball. with an excellent counseling staff.
