DEMISE CLABAUGH and MICHAEL BRBENZA These two cousins celebrated their birthdays this month. They are Denise Lynn Clabaugh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Clabaugh of Connellsvflle, R. D. 1, and Michael Vincent Bnenza, son of Mr. and Mrs. Armand Bnenza of Dickerson Run Hill. Denise was four years old on June 6, and is a granddaughter of Mrs. Sue Sapen of 18C North Manor, Mrs. Frances Heffley of 11C Greenwood Heights and Ted Clabaugh of Flint, Mich. Michael was two years old on June 9, and is also a grandson of Ted Clabaugh'and Mrs. Heffley and also-Mr. and Mrs. Tony Bnenza of 503 W. Gibson Ave. The children's great-grandfather is Walter Clabaugh of Connellsville. Demse's mother is the former Linda Sapen Michael's mother is the former Diane Clabaugh Panel Agrees In Part With Stiff Crime Law By CHERYL ARVIDSON WASHINGTON (DPI) -Members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which will consider President Ford's crime control program, say it is a step in the right direction toward solving one of the nation's most pressing social problems. Sen. Birch Bayh, D-Ind., and Sen. Edward Kennedy, D- Mass., said, however, that even tighter gun control measures than those proposed by the President may be needed. Bayh said Ford should address 'the very senous problem of theft and interstate traffic, or gun running, which is so intimately related to handgun control." Kennedy praised Ford's proposed ban on sale and manufacture of cheap handguns, the so-called "Saturday night specials," but said control of the 40 million civilian owned LARRY SCOTT ROSS Larry Scott Ross, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry L.
