Adams At a negotiating session Wednesday night, the Upper Adams teacher's Association and the district once again failed to come to terms, on a new contract agreement for the 1979-30 school year, according to Robert Witien.

school superintendent. Although Witten reemphasized the fact that bosh sides in the contract dispute have refused to make public any information about the details or progress of the negotiations, he did explain that "each time individuals can sit down and talk about differences in a logical sequence, progress can be made." The contract, which has been under negotiation for seven months, recently forced teachers to declare that they would work only on a daily basis pending the outcome of further talks. Despite the fact that the possibility of a walkout exists. Witten said that he senses no difference in the attitude of teachers at the school. "They ithe teachers' are working hard at what they are there to do--teach children." he said.

The two parties in the disputed pact are scheduled to meet again next week, probably Wednesday or Thursday, according to Witten. Although no particulars in the unresolved" accord have been revealed, the teacher's association last month directed its negotiating team not to accept any contract that was not in'line with others in the county.
