The fllTT AW A Journal County Road Cost In Year $3145 1 John Nixon, 0 0 0 Submits Report to Car-leton County Council. Maintenance of county roads during thU 7 tar coat I3J.MS .33, John Nixon, ol Osgoode, chairman of thi County Roads Committee, told Car leton County Council at a meeting held yesterday afternoon.

The amount expended was IUM3.33 in excess of the estimated expenditure for this purpose. Mr. Nixon said the 'roads commit tee had expended to the end of November the sum of P0.M5.31 The costs in December he said, should not be heavy. An account for tar for 1913 and accounts totalling I31TJ0 for other material had yet to be paid but he estimated expenditure for December would not exceed H.400 bringing the total for the year to I31.84A33. 1 Of the amount in excess of the estimated expenditure the county would have to pay percent, or mm i Mr.

Nixon reminded council that as no money had been appropriated for construction work this year some work which would otherwise have been borne by construction account had to be charged to maintenance.
