The national championship Fall Night Rally has been pr-ganized for twenty consecutive years by the Motors-port Club of Ottawa. In those years it has gained and maintained a reputation for challenge. new twist has been added -this year. In the best tradition of the professional European rallies, a special closed stage has been added. This is a 15 mile long piece of private road closed to all out rally traffic. A communications network has been set up and medical assistance is on hand. The cars start at intervals, timed as they start The fast-, est car through the section 'will have zero penalty points.

The. car that is one -second slower has one penalty point, and so on. It is essentially a race, held on a twisty, up and down hill course, complete with water holes and rocks. The start of the rally is at 7 p.m., Saturday, from parking Level below the Skyline Hotel. Five hundred miles and 15 hours later they will be back, at the same location.
