FASHIONS CLUB ACTIVITES I Wedding of Betty Kautz To Robert McDowell Is Solemnized This Morning The marriage of Miss Betty Kautz, daughter of Carl Kautz, R. R. 3, Sandusky, to Robert, McDowell, son of Mr. and Mrs.

William McDowell, Willard, was solemnized this morning at 11 o'clock 1n the rectory of SS. Peter and Paul's Church with the Rev. Karl Burger officiating. The bride wore a defense blue street dress with black accessories and a shoulder corsage of yellow roses. A heart-shaped locket was a gift of the bridegroom.

The bridesmaid, Miss Jeanne McDowell, sister of the bridegroom, was in black and white. She had a shoulder corsage of pink roses. The bridegroom was attended by Robert Kautz, brother of the bride. The bridegroom's mother wore a black dress and a shoulder corsage of red roses. A wedding dinner at the Kautz home followed the ceremony.

Table were in pink and white and fall flowers formed the center-piece. Later the couple left on a eastern motor trip and upon their return will reside on Campbell-st. Among the recent parties for Mrs. McDowell was a twilight dinner given Tuesday evening by Mrs. Josiah Sargeant and Mrs.

Jane Durant of Cleveland at the Sargeant home on the S. Patten- Tract-rd. In contests after the dinner Miss Lucy Ann Marshall, Miss Dorothy Deitz, Mrs. Ed Wood and Mrs. Rolland Hoffman were fortunate.

The guests also wrote a message, which was sent by the China Clipper to Miss Florence Sargeant who is at the Aiea Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. Those attending the party included: Mrs. Ed Wood, Cleveland; Mrs. Paul Andrews, Mrs. Tom Berryman, Bellevue; Mrs.

Meet of Congregational Church Women's Association Is Friday The Women's Association of the First Congregational Church will hold its monthly meeting Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the church. Guest speaker at the session is to be Dr.

Fred L. Hall of Cleveland. Dr. Hall is state superintendent of Congregational es in Ohio. Several vocal solos will also be present by Nellie Bailey Miller.

Preceding the program the association will have a routine business meeting. Refreshments will be served, at the close of the afternoon. Members of Circle No. Two will be hostesses for the session. Linen Shower Given Recently In Honor Of Mrs.

A. McFarlin An informal party and linen shower was given recently in honor of Mrs. Arthur McFarlin, formerly Dorothy Laurence, by her mother, Mrs. Leo Laurence, 618 McDonough-st. Miss Irene Freeman and Mrs.

Modern Priscilla Club Meet Is Friday; New Calendar For Year Announced Women's Civic Club Has Meet Tuesday Night; Plans Party The Women's Civic club met in regular session Tuesday evening at the Business Women's club, Wayne-st. Featuring the evening's program were talks given by Mrs.

P. F. Deener and Mr. Odgers, representing the Halle Bros. on the topic "Fashions for the and a short address on the new tax levy, presented by John Kerchner.

D. D. White. The session will be opened with the club's singing of "America." A paper dealing with the discoveries of the Norsemen, Columbus, Vespucci, the Cabots, Ponce de Leon, Coronado and De Soto will be given by Mrs. Clifford Love.

Other topics on the program will include "Echoes from the Lakeside Federation" by Mrs. Anna Brookner and Mrs. J. E. Bragg and "My Latest Trip (Historical Places of Mrs.

Louise Linn. Mrs. Gaston Mitchell will be crilic for the meeting. Officers who will begin their year's term Friday are: Mrs. George W.

Schreiner will be an event of Thanksgiving evening in the Little Church Around the Corner, New York City, was guest of honor Tuesday evening at an informal party and personal shower given by her sisters, Mrs. Jack Darby and Mrs. Edgar Faulkner at the Darby home on Ogontz-st.

Bridge and cootie were the diversions of the evening with high score trophies going to Miss Sally Maschari and Mrs. Blanche Ter- bille. At close of play a delicious luncheon was served with table decorations in pink and white and a centerpiece bouquet of snapdragons and dahlias. Mrs. Peter Higgins Is Hostess At Current Review Club Session A regular meeting of the Current Review club was held this afternoon at the home of Mrs. Peter Higgins on Columbus-av. Mrs. Lloyd Beuthel, president of the organization, conducted a routine business session after the meeting was opened.

For the program later Mrs. John Kerchner reviewed "Spring Symphony" by Eleanor Painter. Mrs. Kerchner read a personal letter from the author and played recordings of compositions by Schumann 'about whom "Spring Symphony" is written. Mrs.

Evans and Mrs. Paul Roberts were guests of the club at the meeting. St Cecelia Auxiliary To Entertain On Sunday For District Meeting St. Cecelia Auxiliary members will entertain here Sunday for a meeting of district five. The session is to be held in Odd Fellows hall and will begin at 2 o'clock.

Auxiliaries to be represented at the meeting are St. Ann's of Norwalk, Madonna of Kelleys Island and St. Joseph's of Tiffin. Committee members for the fair are: Mrs. Sarah Brown, Mrs.

Clara Baier, Mrs. Stella Gorman, Mrs. Anna Casper, Mrs. Abbie White, Mrs. Ella Herb, Mrs.

George Casper, Ful- ton-st, the president, Miss Anna Bender, appointed her committees for the coming year. The committee membership follows: sick committee, Mrs. William Good and Mrs. Casper; membership, Mrs. Joseph Braeunig, and Miss Clara Eschenauer; publicity, Miss Mildred Busam.

A pot-luck supper will be held during the social meeting on Sunday, Oct. 19. Miss Florence Martin, Miss Clara Eschenauer and Miss Mildred Busam to be in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Munce, McDonough-st, will be hostess to the group at a card party in her home next Monday evening.

The November business meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. William Good. W. Monroe-st. A social hour and refreshment service closed last evening's session.

Memorial Auxiliary Holds Supper-Meet The Memorial Hospital Auxiliary held a pot-luck supper Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Bruno Kunzman, E. Madison-st. A short business meeting followed and sewing was done during the remainder of the evening. Farewell Party Compliments Mrs.

Edwards Mrs. Lillian Edwards, who leaves in the near future to-make her home in New York City, was guest of honor at a farewell party given recently by a group of office associates at the Periodical Publishers Service Bureau at the home of Miss Adelaide Tremper, 1810 W. Monroe-st. Games were played at the affair with awards going to Mrs. Edwards, Miss Gerry Dolan, Miss Senara Swanson, Miss Virginia Dellasantina, Miss Mary Ellen Kaiser, Miss Jean Harter, Miss Peggy Alberts, Miss Mary Scales and Miss Jene Frank.

Others attending the party were: Miss Alice Adamson, Miss Ruth Stauffer, Miss Norine Woodland, Miss Shirley Weitzel, Miss Joyce Knerr and Miss Marian Schoenegge. Trinity Study Club To Hold Meet Thursday Evening; New Calendar Is Released Mrs. James Fitz will be hostess Thursday evening at 8 o'clock to members of the Trinity Study club for their first meeting of the 1941-42 season. Mrs. Anthony Pfefferle will be leader for the session and Miss Gertrude Chamberlain will present a paper on "Christ's First Miracle." The roll call at all meetings will be answered with current topics.
