LOUIS (UPI)-A bioop single with the bases loaded in the sixth inning by Ted Sizemore Sunday allowed St. Louis to score a 54 victory over Pittsburgh and a sweep of their three-game series. Sizemore's hit, snapping a 3-3 tie, came after Bernie Carbo had singled and rookie Ken 'Reitz was allowed a base hit after his grounder hit second base umpire Shag Crawford. A sacrifice by winning hurler Reggie Cleveland advanced the runners and Lou Brock was then given an intentional walk. Sizemore's bloop safety to center scored Carbo and Reitz.

Pittsburgh, trying to reduce its magic number for clinching the National League East Division title to two, had tied the game on Manny Sanguil- len's two-run triple in the top half of the sixth. St. Louis broke on top with two runs in the first inning after Richie Hebner's sacrifice fly had given the Pirates a 1-0 lead in the top of the inning. Cleveland, who had surrendered 19 runs in 11 innings in previous outings this year against the Pirates, scattered seven hits before being relieved by Diego Segui in the seventh and evened his record at 14-14.
