Stream Pollution Has Been Solved Williamsport, April 14. Fifty tons of fine coal washed into Loyal sock Creek from the Scar Run mining operations of the Monohan Coal Company, near Forksville, Sullivan county, was found to be the cause of an inky black pollution of the creek. Representatives of the Consolidated Sportsmen of Lycoming County, who investigated the origin of the foreign material, said it does not constitute poisoning and is not expected to kill fish.
