Few men of thirty two have had as enviable a ringside seat at the making of history as Arch Parsons capable and promising member of staff of the New York Herald Tribune. He was born in New York City and educated in its schools. He majored in Engineering at New York University. Shortly after transferring to the University of Michigan, he changed his major from Engineering to Journalism, in which he graduated with a B.A.

One year of graduate work at that university and a summer's course in Political Science at Zurich, Switzerland, rounded out his preparation for the adventures that were soon to come. After a short period with the New York Age, Mr. Parsons went to work for the Herald Tribune. At length he became U.N. Bureau Chief.

In 1934, he won a Nieman Fellowship to Harvard, where he took a year's course in American Foreiga policy. It fell his lot to become a roving correspondent in the Middle East during one of that region's most turbulent years 1956. The rise of Egyptian President Nasser to world prominence, the emergence of Soviet Russia as a power in the Middle East, the seizure of the Suez Canal by Nasser, the Anglo French Israeli invasion of Egypt these were some of the events Arch Parsons LEFTOVERS '57 CHEVS Low, Low Priced For Quick Action!
