Harrison irr the role of De Lawd in "The Green Pastures" here in 1935 after Har rison succumbed to a fatal illness died last Tuesday in a Queens hospital. Funeral services were conducted Friday by the Rev.

He took over the star role on March 2, 1935. After five years without missing a performance, Harrison became ill while dressing for a matinee at the Forty fourth street theater. Informed by his doctor that he couldn't go on, he called for Wood and said: "Charlie, hold me up. I'll be back in a few days. The world need this play."
