HUMBOLDT STANDARD dis- THOSE WHO ATTENDED the Humboldt County Fair at Ferndale Tuesday, the day of its opening, expressed interest in the Home Advisor booth, which displayed many bulletins which will be sent to those who'register for them. On the back wall are shown names and symbols of the 27 communities in which are organized Home Advisor groups.

Ramona Temple' Receives Official Visit The official visit of the trict deputy grand chief Lenora Baker of Scotia, who is also grand outer guard of the Grand Temple of California, and the presentation of a 25-year membership pin to Mary E. Newell by her daughter-in-law, past grand chief Helen Newell of I Fortuna, highlighted the meet ing of Ramona Temple 8, Pythian Sisters, on Friday night at K. hall. Margaret Johnson presided in the absence of Pearl Miller. Mrs.

Baker was presented with a corsage made by Pearl Miller, which was an arrangement of white gladioli, each centered by a fuchsia blossom. Mrs. Baker complimented the officers on their work and announced her itinerary. She will visit Fernleaf Temple at Ferndale next Tuesday and North Star Temple at Arcata on Wed' nesday. She also spoke briefly on changes inaugurated by the new grand chief, Faye who will visit this district offi' cially at a convention to be held at Scotia on October 2.

Mrs. Baker announced that Mary Ann Preston of Eureka, a member of Pythian Sunshine Girls, Muriel Council 6, has been honored by being elected, to the office of grand outer guard of the Grand Council Pythian Sunshine girls, held atj Lodi recently. Mrs. Bakerj urged support of the Pythian i Sunshine Girls as a fine charac-' ter builder for girls.
