Subscribed and sworn to before me this 2nd day of July, 1935. LEON M. BARNES, Notary Public, At stockholders' meetings of the Pratt te Whitney Aircraft Com pany, Hamilton Standard Propeller Company, Chance Vought Corpo ration and siieorsKy Aircrau uom Dany. held in June, these subsidia ries of United Aircraft Corporation voted to consolidate into one com nanv to be known as United Air craft Manufacturing Corporation which also has acquired the assets and will carry on the operations of the United Airports of Connecticut, Incorporated, according to an an nouncement maae today tAionaay; bv Donald L. Brown, President.

"The change was made solely to provide the United Aircraft group with a stmpiinea corporate structure," Mr. Brown said, "and implies no change in personnel or in me duties of personnel as maintained under the former set-up. None of the former subsidiary companies loses its identity in that the old names have been set up as divisions and will be maintained as such in the future." "Existing contracts now held by the various subsidiary companies will not be affected in any way, Future contracts, of course, will be made in the name oi the united Aircraft Manufacturing Corpora tion." "The change does not affect the status of the United Aircraft Corporation, former parent company of the group and now parent company of United Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation and United Aircraft Exports Corporation," Mr. Brown continued. "In other words, United Aircraft Corporation will now have two operating subsidiaries, one a manufacturing corporation and the other dealing with all foreign sales agencies for United products.

Thus there are now only three active companies in the group, whereas there formerly were seven, eacn with Its own officers, board of directors and stockholders. The simplification of the structure can, therefore, readily be seen." The officers of the new manufacturing corporation include Mr. Brown as president, who continues as chief executive of the United Aircraft Corporation, and Eugene E. Wilson who becomes senior vice-president, retaining also his position of vice-president of the parent company. Messrs.

Brown and Wilson will also serve as general managers of Pratt Whitney Aircraft and Chance Vought Aircraft respectively. C. W. Deeds, vice-president, retains his presidency of the United Aircraft Exports Corporation, and George S. Wheat, vice-president, also retains his vice-presidency in the parent corporation.

Joseph P. McCarthy, controller-secretary of United Aircraft Corporation, has been elected controller-secretary of the new manufacturing corporation, and Carroll L. Gault, treasurer of the parent company, has been elected treasurer of new subsidiary. J. R.

Seaman, assistant treasurer of United Aircraft Corporation, becomes assistant treasurer of the new manufacturing corporation, and A. F. Cartland, assistant secretary of the parent company, becomes assistant secretary of the new subsidiary. Three presidents of former subsidiary companies become vice-presidents in the new manufacturing corporation: Raycroft Walsh of Hamilton Standard Propeller Company, F. W.

Neilson of Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, and B. L. Whelan of the United Airports of Connecticut, Incorporated. Each, however, continues as general manager in charge of his division, which will be conducted from an operating standpoint the same as in the past. Other officials in the new company are: Pratt Whitney Aircraft Division: S.

Beer to He Sold By the Can Again According to an announcement made by Continental Can Ccmpany, machine shops of the company are now busy building machinery for the manufacture of tin cans for beer. The company has been working on the development of a tin con tainer for beer over the past two years, during which period experimental packs have been made in various breweries. Based upon the success of these experiments, the company is pushing the development as rapidly as possible. The company expects to have two separate and distinct types of tin cans available for the packing of beer, one being similar to the standard packer's can used for fruits and vegetables and the other having a cone shaped top with a cap similar to that now used on beer bottles.

Many brewers have indicated an interest in these new packages for beer, accordina to the company. The company expects to be equipped to manuiacture tnese cans on a production basis within the next sixty days. Livestock Market Chicaeo. Julv 2. (AP.) (United States Dept.
