THURSDAY, JANUARY 26, 1928 THE EVENING HURQNITE CONGRATULATE THEATRE OWNER JDonald J. Harris Has bone Fine Thing for Huron Businessmen Say Numerous businessmen of Huron have congratulated Donald Harris on the faith he showed in the future development of Huron by building such a fine theatre as the new State. H. E. Keli fie Id, manager of the Bijou theatre, says: "I am pleased to extend my heartiest congratulations to Mr.

Harris in his new State theatre enterprise and wish liiin every success in his effort to give the people of Huron a theatre beautiful which they have deserved for a long time and I bo- speak for him a generous patronage at his house. "I personally consider a modern theatre as an indispensable factor In the social and business life of the present clay community, providing inspiration and incentive to the population. Business goes where people go. People go to tho best shows. No modern theatre is opened today in any community materially increasing the desirability and property values of that community." Clias.

H. Mitchell, publisher of The Evening Huronite, says: "Adequate entertainment facilities arc to a complete city. Now that Huron has the beautiful new State theatre it has come just that much nearer meeting' the entertain- in exit requirements of the people of the city and central South Dakota. Mr. Harris is to be commended upon his courage and foresight in investing in South Dakota's most progressive city and there is every reason to believe that he will be amply rewarded.

The Evening Huronite joins all Huron in extending congratulations and best wishes." A. B. Leak, manager of the Lyric theatre, says: "i am glad to have the opportunity of i i with others in commending Mr. Harris on the completion of his new State theatre. Although Huron always lias stood high in South Dakota for the class of motion pictures shown here, it long has been "handicapped because of a lack of adequate stage facilities.

i the new State. I believe Mr. Harris is doing a great i toward a i Huron an even better entertainment -center." George C. president of the Huron of Commerce, says: "I am just one of the. hundreds of persons in Huron who jke to-see a good stock company, musical comedy or some other stage attraction now and then.
