The Mid-America Circus sponsored by the Evening Club, will be at the Union County Fairgrounds for two performances only Thursday.

The performances will be at 4 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Tickets will be on sale at the circus box office one hour prior to show times. More information about this circus will appear in later editions. Ballet lovers are reminded to attend the Bolshoi Ballet film that will be shown at the South Arkansas Arts Center today at 2 p.m.

The film, Humpbacked is a Russian fairy tale that has never been performed before in the United States. This film is the last program of the South Arkansas Ballet series. (AP) A special license plate issued upon request to physically handicapped automobile owners can do more than permit the owner to park in places marked for the disabled, according to the Fresno Architectural Barriers Committee. The committee said the holder of these special plates may park without limit in limited zones and may park in metered spaces without feeding the meter a thin dime. McWilliams, chief of detectives of the El Dorado Police Department, will present the program to the members of the El Dorado Kiwanis Club Wednesday at noon at Kings Inn Royal Host Restaurant. Capt. McWilliams will speak on crime prevention. McWilliams is a native of El Dorado and a graduate of El Dorado High School. He attended Henderson State Teachers College and served two years in the U.S.

Army. He has been a member of the El Dorado police force since July of 1957, starling as a patrolman and has had various ranks prior to becoming Captain in May of 1973. McWilliams received law enforcement training at the Arkansas Law Enforcement Academy, special narcotics training at the University of Arkansas, University of Oklahoma, and Louisiana State University. Barton Junior High provided lunds tor pacing a parking lot, EHS gave $600 in equipment and Kairview brought playground equipment and provided volunteer teacher aids. Holy Redeemer raised funds lor an electric scoreboard and neaung equipment for the school gym.

Hugh Goodwin retired the note on its air conditioning system and Morning Star provided a casette player for each room and also bought playground equipment. Northeast Elementary gave $1,400 worth of playground equipment and funds for redecorating rooms, and Murmil Heights completed its air conditioning project.
