In part payment, the purchaser gave property at the northeast corner of West Twenty-First and South Clark streets, comprising a lot 50x1324 feet and extending through to Armour avenue, with old frame improvements. Tbe corner Is Improved with a four story building, 25x146 feet, with a two story structure occupying the remaining frontage on Lake avenue.

The two buildings contain ten stores, ten offices and twenty- to S56 Cornelia avenue. The price Is said to have been $42,000, conveyance being made subject to $25,000 incumbrance. The deal was negotiated by Robert P. Hillicger Co. and Henry St.

Lawrence Chandler. William H. Morris bas sold to George and William W. Lill a bih grade apartment building, with a lot 65x220 feet, at 3930-32 Pine Grove avenue. The consideration was stated to the purchasers giving In part payment property on the east side of South Fifth avenue, about 100 feet north of Taylor street, valued at $60,000 in the deal.

McGuire Orr represented tbe seller and W. H. Mulholland A Co. the purchasers. Annie Kitz, as executrix of the estate of Jacob Kitz, bas sold to Sigmund N.

Lytton Sons of the Hub clothing store, to Thomas Poukldis an L-shaped store in the buiidicg at the southwest corner of State and Qulncy streets, for four years from May 1 at a rental of $36,000 for the term. The same brokers have also leased space in the same building to a number of other tenants for four years at rentals aggregating $119,200 for the term. Keebler Co. also leased for Dibble Manlerre to George H. Weigert tbe entire second floor of the building at 209-219 South Wabash avenue for a term ot years at an annual rental of $3,000.

Tbe premises will be occupied by the American Art galleries for the sale of antiques, The double store snd basement In the Westminster building, at the southwest corner of South Dearborn and West Monroe streets, bas been leased by Beachey Lawler, men's furnishers, for a term of years at an aggregate rental of $300,000. The firm now occupies the corner store In the First National Bank building. Just" opposite, and lias been identified with tbe io- cality for many years. Willis and Frankenstein negotiated the lease. The premises at the southeast corner of North Clark street and Summerdale avenue have been sold by Grant Coey to Nathan Edenburg for $40,000.

The building occupies a lot fronting 1C0 feet on Vincennes avenue and 125 feet on Forty-Eighth street. It contains apartments of five, six and seven rooms each. In part payment the pui-chaser gave a twelve flat building at 6527-6529 Kimbark avenue, valued In tbe deal at $40,000, and paid the remainder, $10,000, In cash. Ferdinand Slegel has leased from tbe estate ot Edwin H. Sheldon tbe entire six story and basement building at tbe northwest corner of South Fifth avenue and West Adams street and bas sublet a portion ot the premises to other business concerns.

The subleases Involve rentals aggregating more than $325,000 for a term- of years approximately the same as -the lease to Slegel. The building occupies a ground area of 120x80 feet. H. O. Stone Co.

and Og-den, Sheldon Co. were the brokers. A six apartment building at 430-4732 South Michigan avenue has been sold by E. B. Wolf Co.

for Abe Conn to Frank Hunt for $41,250. In part payment tbe purchaser gave a three story brick store and flat building at 4036 South State street. The Michigan avenue building rents for $6,500 a year. A high grade nine apartment building occupying- 100x131 feet of ground at the northeast corner of Berteau and Clarendon avenues, yielding an annual rental of has been sold by Julius I. Cone to Isabe DuBrock and Alfred Levi.

The property was. conveyed for a nominal consideration, subject to $50,000 incumbrance, though the actual price is said to have been around $74,000.
