TALLAHASSEE Plans to establish a Florida operating group, consisting of United Telephone Company of Florida and Florida Telephone Corporation, have been announced by Raymond M. Alden, president of United Telecommunications, Inc. Alden outlined United intention to gradually consolidate the management function of the two companies, beginning May 1, to the Florida Public Service Commission. Edward P. Kittinger, president of United Telephone Company of Florida, will become president of the Florida Group, to be headquartered near Orlando.
