"parking violators, one drunk and two automobile drivers were arrested over the week-end by city police. Eugene K. Richards paid a fine of $25 and costs for reckless driving, and Charles W.

Blssetc posted a S50 forfeit bond on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and having no operator's card. The accident took place on Piedmont street early Sunday morning when Bissett's car sideswiped a taxi. Barrlck-GIass TTie marriage of Miss Delores Barrick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard K.

Those attending the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Daughcrty, B. K. Barrick and son, Howard, Mr.

and Mrs. Elmer Adams and three children. Mrs. Howard Barrick, mother of bride, was unable to attend the redding as she is a patient at Potomac Valley Hospital. Mr.

and Mrs. Glass will reside In their apartment at 185 West. Piedmont street. Christmas Program The Sunday School of the First Presbyterian Church presented its annual Christmas program Sunday afternoon in the church sanctuary. Children and adults joined in enacting "The Christmas Story," a pageant depicting the birth of the Christ Child, while the Shepherd, played by Laurin Swlsher, retold the Christmas story to his son, played by James Broome, in the yard of the Inn at Bethlehem.

The program was under the direction of Mrs. Frank Hott, assisted by Mrs. J. H. Phillips, Mrs.

Clyde Hott, Mrs. Fred Hamill and Mrs. E. E. Church.

Choir Entertained Mr, and Mrs. N. C. Taylor entertained with a buffet supper at their home on Halde street Sunday evening In of the choir of the United Brethren Church. The home was decorated in keeping with the season.

A Christmas tree centered the living room. The choir presented their director, Mrs. George Wilson and their organist, Mrs. N. C.

Taylor, with gifts. There were 42 members and their friends present. Candlelight Service Following a custom at many years a candlelight Christmas Eve service will be held in Trinity Lutheran Church beginning at 11:30 tonight. The chancel of the church will be lighted by candles and there will be special Christmas music by the senior choir, the soloists being Mrs. Marie Farley and William Ley.

The pastor's meditation is How Organ music will begin at 11:20. Brief Mention Mrs. David Lloyd has returned to her home in New York after spending the past ten days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ira L.

Bavenscroft. Mr and Mrs. Thomas R. Smith, Jr of Philadelphia, will spend Christmas with relatives and friends here, Mrs. Joseph Corbacio is ill at'her home on Welch street.

I. F. continues ill at his home in McCoole. Miss Alice Lowengrund and Miss A Matbews have returned to their home in Philadelphia They were accompanied home by Mr. Mrs.

D. Anthony, of New York, is spending the Christmas holidays with his family here. Mr and Mrs. Walter Mitchell, of Charleston, W. are spending the Christmas holidays with their daughter and son-in-law, Attorney and Mrs.

Howard Shores, Sharpless street. John Stephen, of Chicago, Is spending the Christmas holidays with his wife at the home of her Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hamill, Overton Place. Mrs.

E. R. Frey has returned to her home in Grafton after being called here by the death of her aunt, Miss M. Mauzy. A Christmas program will be held at the I.OG.F.

Mrs. Joe Lawrence directed the 'Thanks Offering Service" using as her subject, "Rejoice, Give Thanks, Sing." Mrs. Rose Jones conducted a short program of carols and Christmas readings. At the close of the meeting new circle members were chosen for the O.Hve Hodges' circle and the Susannah "Wesley circle. Officers for the Olive Hodges Circle were elected as follows: Mrs.

G. Good, chairman; Mrs. Joe Lawrence, secretary; Mrs. Leon Steyer, treasurer, and Mrs. Myrtle Kight, flower fund treasurer.

This program will Include Christmas carols. St. Mary's Catholic At St. Mary's Church Oldtown Hoad, the adult choir will present a selection of Christmas carols tonight under the direction of Peter J. Decker, and a violin cello accompaniment by Mrs.

Ann Shatter. At St. Mary's a candlcll-jht o- cession will proceed the solemn high mass at midnight tonight and will include the entire student body of St. Mary's High School. The mass chosen for midnight is Gounod's Messe Solennelle, known also as the mass in honor of St.

Cecelia. The. proper of the mass will be from Tozer. the Kyrle and Gloria from Gounod. The traditional Gregorian melody, "Veni Creator Spiritus" will be Intoned before the sermon.

Following the credo, from Gounod, the choir will sing in four parts the "Gesu Bambino" by Pietro Yon for an offertory piece. For Communion time, besides Tozer's proper there will follow Lambllotte's "Panis Angelicus," an old Christmas carol, "Christmas Communion," hymn and Marsh's Night Divine." The recessional will be Gouno'd's "Praise Ye the Father." SS. Peter and Paul's Catholic Father Irenaeus, O.F.M., pastor of SS. Peter and Paul Church, will deliver the sermon at the mid- night service which will also be proceeded by Christmas music at Christmas day will be at 5, 7, 8:10, 9:30 and 11 o'clock. St.

Patrick's Catholic Father Lake Postak, T.O.R., Catholic University, Washington, will give the sermon tonight at the midnight mass in St. Patrick's Church. Other masses will be 'celebrated continuously from. 5:30 to 11 a. m.

At St. Patrick's, as in the othei two churches, Holy Communion will be given during the mass. Confessions will be heard in all three churches today both in the afternoon and night. St. Anthony's Catholic A midnight mass will be held tonight in St.

Anthony's Catholic Church, Rldgeley, with organ music by Mrs. John W. Kreldler and choral selections by choristers from Cumberland and Rldgeley. On Christmas day masses will be held at 9 and 9:30 a. m.

St. Ambrose's Catholic The "Angel's Message," will be sung by Maureen Mclerl mid Betty Lou Beckwlth, portraying angles, preceding the midnight preceeaeci oy tjnristmii.s IIJUMU tonight.
